  Links to every single comment thread that contained a response from any LJ "official" in the "clarifications thread. Wanna know what's funny about this? The way they contradict each other like no one knows what the hell is going on. Notice how I said "funny" rather than "strange".

Supreme Court strikes down ban on 'virtual child porn'

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday struck down a 6-year-old law that prohibits the distribution and possession of virtual child pornography that appears to -- but does not -- depict real children.

Take THAT, 6A! Now stop saying those banned users were posting ILLEGAL content. Because ART IS NOT ILLEGAL. Not even art depicting teenagers who MAY be of consenting age. So stop trying to be all "We're protecting the children" like you're so freaking noble. It's simply that you don't want that "weird crap" on your site because it might reflect poorly on you and lose you business. SO SAY THAT.

  I'm really beginning to enjoy it here. As of today, I turned off both my, and my husband's auto renewal options for our paid accounts on LJ. I've had a paid account there for something like four years and never questioned it. My hubby, Dom, who is big with the "spend as little as possible on extraneous stuff" even agreed to pay for LJ's service because we both enjoyed it immensely, appreciated what they did for us, and wanted to support them. I guess it goes without saying how much I do NOT wish to support them anymore. I do NOT support asshattery. And I just love this place, small, tight community, everyone's friendly and everything's just getting started! :)
