Heroes thoughts, since I didn't post them yesterday. ( Read more... )
Reaper's second episode was not as off the hook funny as the first one, but still pretty damned funny. It's still my fave new show!
We watched My Name is Earl's premiere last night. Hee! I kinda love it. Karma and Rednecks, who woulda thought?
Bones. Still enjoying it *G* Angela, could you be any cooler? You are so my kinda woman. You know something I like about this show? If you combined Angela and Bones into one person, there you'd have the essence of me. Also... ( Read more... )
Supernatural in ONE. DAY! OMG!
Talking with my beloved theantijoss yesterday, we discussed how no fandom just entering its third season should be this batshit crazy. As long as the batshit doesn't come flying in my backyard, I guess that's cool. Hell, I managed to survive for years in BtVS fandom as both an Angel and a Spike lover. All the people I've met so far are pretty sane, and one thing I'll give this fandom: even in the heyday of BtVS I don't remember the amount of fanfic SPN fandom generates being produced. And definitely not the amount of QUALITY fanfic being produced. This show has some crazy-talented, prolific writers.

Because I am a fangirl. Need I say more? Okay. Because, ONE MORE DAYEEEEEEEE!
I love how SPN has soaked into our life and taken over.
Random email from my husband, apropos of nothing, two Friday's ago:

My response was, of course:

I love us! :)
Yesterday, again apropos of nothing, our oldest, Soleil, started jumping up and down in the kitchen, saying "Yay! Two more days to Supernatural! I'm so excited!" Which is just... weird. But cool. For her to think of that on her own, I mean. I love that our kids are also fans.
This is also the 14 year old that informed me a couple of weeks ago--to the tune of Ted Nugent's Stranglehold (which is a badass song btw, which I also heard for the first time when 14) over the recap to IMToD--that she loves the music on this show. To understand the importance of this, you'd have to be present for the constant stream of mindless radio pop/rap she listens to constantly. Of course, I shouldn't be completely surprised, we have raised her on Led Zeppelin and the Beatles.
I, too, love the music on this show. There are certain songs that will forever mean Sam & Dean to me, no matter how many times I heard them previously in my life. Like Carry on my Wayward Son especially, but also:
Wheel in the Sky - I always dug this song, but the epic-ness of it fits the show so well. Hair of the Dog - Now you're messin' with a son of a bitch--Damned right you are. Renegade - Chills. I get chills every time this song starts up on Nightshifter Don't Look Back and Foreplay/Long Time - Boston just has that constant sense of being on the road/move in their music. Silent Lucidity - I'm a longtime Queensryche fan, but this song was my least favorite on Empire, which is my favorite album. It's forever changed to me, now.
You know, I've never been a stark raving fangirl of a show at it's peak. It's kinda neat. I am positively GIDDY. |
