Post-It Notes From My Recent Life
For your consideration: Suicide Tourists, when killing yourself in the privacy of your own home is just too passe.

This weekend:

Saturday
- Soleil went to her very first Homecoming dance with her best friend. They went stag (doe?), together, and they looked really great. Jenn came over and did their hair, nails and make-up for most of the afternoon, so they should have.
- Almost everyone had to cancel for the comic book photoshoot. Tauna & Voron were the only ones to actually make it, so we took our time setting up the set and the lighting, getting the camera settings and shadows just right. The shots turned out really impressive.
- My gypsy mother showed up and loaded all her stuff into the attic in the guest house. She asked me if anyone was still living there, to which I quickly replied "We have some other people moving in". I told Dom it was a bad idea to have her put her stuff over there, even if it is the best place. Last thing I need is her asking to move in.

Sunday
- Dom made the best BBQ sauce in the history of EVER, OMG! SOOOO freaking amazingly good.
- We watched Nightmare on Elm Street I with the kids. Dude, do any of you out there remember how SCARY this movie was when it first came out? I mean, it was terrifying. SOOOO creepy. It hasn't aged well. Watching it now, it's total CHEESE and not scary at all, although it's obviously meant to be. Ah, 80's movies, you do not stand the test of time. Someone seriously needs to do a remake of this movie like Rob Zombie's doing for Halloween. Although, after watching the director's cut of The Devil's Rejects several weeks ago (which I was urged by many friends and a review by Stephen King to do because it was so "awesome"), I think I have decided that much as I love Rob Zombie? His movies are just too fucking visceral and violent for me to enjoy.

Recommendation: We watched 1408 a few weeks ago with Soleil and a couple of her friends, and while I'll always watch anything with John Cusack in it, this movie was exceptionally good, and scary, without being too much. Of course, this movie was also responsible for my hella nightmare a week later, so, view with caution.

Monday
- Entered my very first SPN-thon, the [info]spn_holidays exchange, which looks to be mostly fic oriented. Can't wait for my assignment.
- Submitted my IWRY story ON TIME! W00t!

To Do Today
- Write more porn.
